FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: March 9, 2026
Miami, Florida — March 9, 2026 — Intellectual Property Securities Corporation (“IPSE”) today announced that it has formally filed a New Member Application (NMA) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to become a licensed U.S. investment bank authorized to structure and distribute Intellectual Property Securities representing revenue-producing intellectual property assets such as motion pictures, patents, and other monetizable rights.
The application marks a significant milestone in IPSE’s long-term strategy to establish a regulated investment banking platform dedicated to the securitization and distribution of intellectual property-based financial instruments.
If approved, IPSE will operate as a registered broker-dealer and investment bank specializing in the structuring, underwriting, and placement of securities backed directly by intellectual property assets. These instruments, referred to as Intellectual Property Securities, are designed to allow investors to participate in the economic performance of creative and technological assets while providing creators, producers, and inventors with new financing pathways.
“Intellectual property has become one of the most valuable asset classes in the modern economy, yet it remains significantly under-served by traditional financial markets,” said Marc René Deschenaux, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Intellectual Property Securities Corporation. “By seeking registration as a FINRA-licensed investment bank, IPSE aims to bridge the gap between innovation and capital markets.”
The firm’s model focuses on transforming intellectual property rights into structured financial instruments capable of being distributed through regulated securities channels. These securities may represent interests in film revenues, patent royalties, licensing streams, and other intellectual property-derived income flows.
Historically, financing for films, patents, and similar assets has relied heavily on private arrangements, venture capital, or studio funding. IPSE’s approach introduces a capital markets framework that seeks to make intellectual property financing more transparent, scalable, and accessible to qualified investors.
The filing of the New Member Application initiates the formal regulatory review process with FINRA, which evaluates broker-dealer applicants across several areas including governance, compliance systems, financial responsibility, supervisory structures, and operational capabilities.
Upon approval, IPSE intends to provide a full range of investment banking services related to intellectual property securitization, including:
- Structuring intellectual property-backed securities
- Underwriting and private placements
- Distribution to accredited and institutional investors
- Capital formation for intellectual property creators and rights holders
- Advisory services related to intellectual property financing
IPSE believes that the emergence of intellectual property as a dominant driver of global economic value — particularly in entertainment, technology, and advanced research — creates a natural opportunity for specialized financial infrastructure capable of translating creative and technological assets into investable securities.
The company’s strategy focuses initially on two major intellectual property sectors:
- Motion picture and audiovisual productions, where future revenues from distribution, licensing, and streaming can be structured into securities.
- Patents and technology portfolios, where royalty streams and licensing revenues can form the underlying economic basis for structured financial instruments.
“This initiative represents a natural evolution in capital markets,” added Deschenaux. “Just as real estate, commodities, and infrastructure have long been securitized, intellectual property now stands ready to become a fully recognized financial asset class.”
The FINRA review process typically involves detailed evaluation and dialogue with regulators before a final determination is made.
IPSE will provide updates as the regulatory process progresses.
